Vita, her dad, and Nando are getting baptised on 2nd Dec!! I wish I could go and witness!

Vita's dad is such a joyful believer, from our conversation over lunch during my last trip he was sharing with us. Though I couldn't understand much Hokkien, I can see that he's full of joy. Praise God for his faith and salvation.

Chatted with Ana over Yahoo Messenger too (the youths are into it now).. She shared that she doesn't go to cell group anymore. Encouraged her not to give up on Jesus, and she replied that she hasn't, just that she doesn't pray and go to church anymore... When i asked her whether she's sure of her love for Jesus, she says no, her heart is very confused. unfortunately we have a bit of language barrier so i couldn't find out what she means.

I also chat with Wiky and Frenky hehehehe... so happy. Learnt that Frenky is working at a cosmetics shop, and Wiky is working during the day and studying at night. I really admire his perseverance and love for studying and pursuing of knowledge.

Aling is often in Batam so she hasn't been going for cell group regularly too.

Wati fell sick last week, hope she's getting better now.

Phei Phei's brother smsed me a few msgs.. a bit uncomfortable cuz he mentioned missing me. :S Persis told me not to reply, but i was trying to be careful to not to be over-friendly with him or totally ignore him. Brought this up to PP and i think she told him about it, and he apologised. i don't like the fact that he just took his sister's handphone and started sms-ing her friends without her knowledge!

:: trip update 18 Nov ::

went to Balai with Persis. didn't see Phei Phei at the jetty, so we went to church on our own. The church was still not open yet so we went to the market to shop. bought a pair of earrings. hee..
then Sunday School.. glad that ahqiang came. lesson on Psalm 139:14. did a simple art and craft.

lunch at opp church, a coffeeshop opened by Elisa's parents. not bad la the meepok, tastes like banmian. lol.
service.. last min Phei Phei went to preach. supposed to be uncle Ben, but he didn't turn up. hmm.. she used the analogy of holding a cup half-filled with water for half an hour, the cup seems to feel heavier though water wasn't added to it, to describe that we shldn't hold our burdens for too long, and that we can lift them to Jesus because we will become weary of doing things.

i know i can let go of my burdens to Jesus, but it's very difficult. pple's expectations of me doesn't help. haiz.

had dinner at a jap restaurant at Vivocity, with Phebe and her husband, uncle John, Joseph and Keith. because on the ferry Persis and i watched a bit of tv, it was a jap tv series and the people were eating jap noodles, so both of us decided to eat jap noodles too. haha.. bought passion fruit for M'kk. looked so 'aunty' carrying the plastic bag into the Jap restaurant.. lol. food's not that good.. bit into a lot of egg shells. service's only as good as greeting u when u enter, but when u need to refill ur green tea? no one's around.
